Rock of Ages

Where do I begin to describe a movie that I almost consider a spiritual revelation! Long Live Rock and Roll!! This movie was AWESOME!! The fact that I know and already loved almost all of the songs used in the movie combined with a perfect plot- which although predictable was exactly what the music required- The music from the 80s CAME TO LIFE! Literally right before your eyes. I could not believe how touched I was by the timing of the songs against the plot and what the characters were dealing with at the moment they were singing each particular song. I sang, I laughed, I cheered, and I cried!!! I downloaded the soundtrack on my way home from the movie!!! I went into it expecting to be entertained, and what I got was soooo much more! WOW!!! It is romantic, tragic and sweet; It also manages to be grotesque, yet sexy. But what surprised me the most is how deep it actually managed to be despite its apparent popcorn movie facade.... Go figure! Best movie of 2012 hands down!!! Get Noticed with a $7.99 .CO!

Snow White and the Huntsman

This movie was not really all that much to fuss about. I rarely am critical of movies, as I respect the fact that such a large crew of people put so much time and creative skills into them. However, every now and then one simply feels he must let other's know what you think....right? Snow White and The Huntsman, was boring, had no real depth, and was predictable. Kirsten Stewart is very cute and all, but once she is wielding a sword, and giving a brave-heart-like motivational speech...she kind of turns a little ridiculous. Chris Hemsworth is a good Huntsman but his character has no real appeal. All in all, I'd say, best re-watch Twilight if you want to see Kirsten at her best, and re-watch Thor, if you want to see Chris at his best. Thanks for reading! PROMETHEUS

I went and saw Prometheus yesterday on opening day. It is a prequel to the ALIEN movies. I was VERY impressed with the special effects. It pushes the envelope, once again, as previous ALIEN and ALIENS movies did. The concept of space travel, suiting up and landing on a new planet, is all done in an extraordinary and visionary way. So throughout the movie you are never bored and there is no shortage of cool captivating things to look at. The acting was good for the most part. Now having said that I must add that this movie also rates a 9 out of 10 on the WEIRDNESS SCALE. It seems like they are just trying soo hard to make it a complex story line, that they just took the viewers into a land of weirdness and an area where the viewer is just left with more mysterious questions.... ALIENS had so much heart, and the characters were really likable. Prometheus is a much darker movie. Let me know what you think when you see it! Get Noticed with a $7.99 .CO!
